How are you going to be involved in Innovation Month 2014?
It’s a new year, and that means planning for another public sector Innovation Month has begun. After the success of ‘Innovation Month 2013 – Inspire, Design, Deliver’, discussions about this year’s events have started.
For 2014 the fledgling organising committee is proposing that Innovation Month will be held in July. We’re looking for additional people to get involved, for ideas about events, and for your input about what makes for running a good event.
As with previous years, we’re looking at events ranging from cross-agency forums and workshops, to internally run events dealing with agency specific issues.
To help those who are interested in holding or running their own events but who may feel unsure about doing so, we thought we’d try and harvest the expertise of our many readers about what makes for a good event.
What makes for running a good event?
Running a good event can be challenging – but it can also be pretty easy if you know what to do. What are your pointers for those who might be less experienced in putting on an event? What would you include in your checklist, and what would you warn against?
We want to hear from you, so that we can pass on the best advice to those who are thinking about running an event for Innovation Month 2014.
What sort of events or activities should be held?
We’re also after your ideas about what activities or events Innovation Month 2014 could involve. What would you like to see? What sort of events have interested you most? Which speakers or presenters have inspired you about how to do things differently? Let us know what you think – and if there are any particular events that you would like to be involved in, let us know!
If you want Innovation Month 2014 to be a success, then we’re seeking your help:
- Contribute your ideas about what makes for running a good event
- Send us your ideas about possible events that could be run, that you’d like to run, or that you think others should run
- Sign-up to the organising committee (send us an email)
