Do you want to meet and mix with over 100 other people interested in the public sector doing things better? Do you want to hear from leaders and expert practitioners and thinkers about innovation and change in the public sector? To participate in a day of talks, workshops and panel discussions about realising a more innovative public sector?

If your answer is yes, then you should sign up to GovCamp 2013! (registrations now closed)

This event, supported by a number of government agencies, including DesignGov, will be a key event in public sector Innovation Month 2013 and will be held in Canberra on Thursday 6 June. It will revolve around three themes – inspiring innovation, empowering people, and liberating capability.

GovCamp 2013 follows on from the highly successful GovCamp 2012, which was a great event with a lot of energy and interesting discussions and presentations.

I personally recommend it as a great opportunity if you can make it (and not just because DesignGov’s CEO Jane Treadwell will be one of the speakers) as I got a lot out of it last year.

If you can, I look forward to seeing you there, otherwise we’ll try and capture much of the day through blog posts and other means. Alternatively, see what else is going on in Innovation Month or see the suggestions about events and activities you might want to run as part of it.
